Six Time ATA All American Mark Isner turned his 500,000th target to a smoke ball Wednesday, Oct 25th at Scorched Earth Gun Range in Kenna, WV. Isner, one of West Virginia’s top ATA shooters started his journey to half a million targets in 1988. Registering over 500,000 targets in 39 years requires quite the commitment to the sport, somewhere around 12,800 targets a year, last year’s tally was over twenty three thousand. He has in the last 5 years registered over 20,000 targets a year.

Mark has shot targets in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, South and North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky and of course West Virginia he has put tens of thousands of miles on vehicles not to mention the shells and all that goes with the sport he loves. His nearest WV rival is over 100,000 targets away, the next active shooter another 100,000 targets away

Along with six straight All American Team appearances he is also a two time WV Singles Champion (2010, 2022), a two time WV HAA Champion ( 2022, 2024) and a three time WV Doubles Champion (1999, 2022, 2023). Congratulations, Mark.
