He was born February 19, 1946, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late John Charles Booth II and Loretta (Apple) Booth. John was a Baptist and was a production manager for Corning Glass/Schott Glass, and he was a veteran of the Army Reserves.He loved shooting guns and was distinguished with a pistol.John is survived by his two sons, Hunter Booth (Emily) of Davisville, WV, and Samuel Farrah (Kelly) of Maryville, IL, and three grandchildren, Dorothy, Sydney, and Hannah.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Booth, and son, Daren Booth.Service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Reverend Frank Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
